Day 1: Cusco - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Early in the morning (around 04:00am) you will travel by bus (2 hours) to reach the town of Ollantaytambo, here you are going to board the tourist train for to ride 2 hrs (aprox 06:15) to Aguas Calientes. Enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Andean Mountain and the Cloud forest vegetation the train journey itself is an experience. Arriving to Aguas Calientes you will met your tour guide and take you straight up to Machu Picchu for your guided tour for around two hours. which you'll learn about the Incas Culture and visit all the most important areas of the citadel.

you'll have free time to explore the citadel by yourself. There are different areas to visit including the Inca bridge, please ask your guide for suggestions. Later on in the afternoon you take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes town to take the train back to Ollantaytambo (approximate. 2 hours) and then riding on the bus to Cusco (another 2 hours)


Train (Expedition or Voyager class) back to Cusco time 4:30pm (depending on season and availability)

Expected arrival time in Cusco 9:00pm

(From November to April you must be prepared for rain season)
